Dr Nigel G Harris (Managing Director)![]() Nigel's reputation is based particularly on technical advances in network modelling and fares policy research. However, he also has expertise in operational simulation, Stated Preference market research, scheme and appraisal and railway business planning, which gives him one of the best understandings in the country of railway business performance. He co-authored the key texts "Planning Passenger Railways" and "The Privatisation of British Rail", is a visiting lecturer at the Universities of Newcastle and Sheffield, and has spoken to a wide variety of groups including railway staff, and international conferences in Europe and North America. David McIntosh![]() David is a career railwayman, with over 30 years' service with British Rail and Regional Railways, finishing at a very senior level with Central Trains. His key strengths are the ability to spot new business opportunities and then build the partnership required to develop, fund and implement the scheme. His clear understanding of the dynamics of a successful railway business, matching market requirements with effective resource utilisation, have continued to be applied to the new railway since his move into consultancy, where he specialises in economic and operational feasibility studies. |
